Sunday Supermarket Facial - With Waitrose

When my friend Kayleigh came into work raving about the new Waitrose skincare range ‘Pure’ I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try it. When it comes to my skincare range I find I can quite easily use anything on my face. I’m very lucky that my skin isn’t sensitive or irritable and I’m no snob to own/lower branded products. So after a girl’s night out and sleepover at Kayleigh’s I hastily made a visit to her local Waitrose on the way home to scope out the goodies.

So, what’s the idea behind the Pure range?
“The new Waitrose Pure skincare range uses more than 95% naturally derived ingredients (such as camomile, sweet almond oil and shea butter), is fragrance free, vegan friendly, dermatologically approved and kind to sensitive skin. Natural oils and plant extracts nourish, moisturise, sooth and protect all skin types to leave you with a refreshed and radiant complexion.” – Waitrose

To my surprise I was even happier when I got there to find that not only were the products only £2.99 each but they were on 3 for 2… love them already.

There were a fair few products in the range to choose from including facial wipes, hand creams & cleansers; after a good look I came away with the Face Polish, Eye Gel & beauty balm.

Budget Brushes

Just before Christmas I’d been looking for a birthday present for my sister & seen as I’d had my eye on the BH Cosmetics sculpt & blend brush set for myself, (I already have their 10Pc Eco brush set and I love it!) I thought while I was there I might as well get a set for my sister too; because she’d been wanting to experiment more with brushes. Typically though, every time I went to place my order the brushes were sold out. They had a tonne of really good reviews & I was dying to get my mitts on them. They came back in stock & sold out again & again (I just wasn’t quick enough) before I knew it, it was too late to buy them because they’d never make here in time from the US, so I set out in search of something else. While browsing online I came across this 10 Piece make brush set which, if you ask me is identical to the Sculpt & Blend set minus the BH cosmetics stamp & was only £7.49 despatched & delivered in the UK yes you read that right…. PURCHASE…. X2!

BH Cosmetics Sculpt & Blend Set $21.95 (01/02/2015) £14.50 (approx plus shipping) Image from bhcosmetic.com
