Workout Playlist

WORKOUT PLAYLIST

OK so as I mentioned in my previous post, I’m on board with the Tone It Up Love Your Body 6 week fitness challenge & today, as requested by Katrina & Karena, I did a 5K run on the treadmill for the first time in my whole life! It took me almost an hour (48:58) at running & walking speeds. Snail’s pace I know, but I did it & I’m proud & hopefully by the end of the 6 weeks my time will have improved; I’ll keep you posted,

Apart from water & oxygen, there is one vital thing that keeps me going during times like this, Music. I need it. The playlists they play generally at the gym can be a little bleak & don’t really help to give me that extra bit of oomph that I need, so I thought I would share with you some of the songs that my little ipod threw at me today that gave me that eye of the tiger and to get me through my 5K.

Some of them are older, some of them are newer, some you may know & some you may not, either way follow the album covers through to YouTube, turn up the volume & burn some calories on me.

Hello 2015

Image from www.toneitup.com

I love that exciting and promising feeling that overcomes you on January 1st. It’s a brand new year, anything is possible, you can turn your life around and make a fresh starts in every aspect of your life if you want. Until January 7th comes and you quickly give up on all those positive resolutions and slip back into your regular routine of working 9-5, eating junk food and staying home at weekends.

Feeling optimistic I won’t be making resolutions this year, because let’s be honest, as much as I would like too I’m not going to cure world hunger, and end all conflicts whilst losing a stone and getting my dream bod - unfortunately. So I’m going to be making goals for myself instead which I think will be easier to reach.

I have 2 main goals to reach this year both which have been considered, planned & failed since probably about 2010 and I’m very proud to say that we are on January 2nd and I’ve already made  good start with both of them.

Read more on my goals for 2015 and how this year, I will be sticking with them and how you can to yours too at the full Live Lotus blog
